Hootah is a character developed for Discover to provide a framework for children visiting Discover. Hootah is a baby space monster whose planet is running out of stories. Hootah has come to Earth to see if he can find stories to take back to his planet. Children are tasked with helping Hootah to make new stories. Hootah’s Story is an introduction to Discover, showing his journey through the exhibits, providing pre-visit orientation and opportunities for follow-up work.
